Wedding Photos: Part VI

I’m thankful for our house. We are renting, but I love our house. If we could pick up this house and move it to the area we really want to live, then I’d be happy as a clam! Either way, I’m thankful for the house we have. It’s plenty big enough and is a place I’m proud to call home.

Here are photos of Kevin and I after the ceremony. We chose not to see each other before the ceremony. To take it to the next level we didn’t even text or talk to each other that day either! I kind of liked it. It was a great lead-up to walking up the aisle to him.

Wedding Photos: Part V

I’m thankful for my car. I bought my car about two years ago and it’s been perfect for us. It was the first car I ever purchased. In the past I was handed down cars from my parents - which I was also always thankful for. I’m hoping my car lasts many years because it’s been my favorite so far. Smile

Dad giving his speech. Poor guy had a tough time getting through it. He told me afterwards that every time he’d look over at me he’d start to get choked up.

Matt giving his Best Man’s speech. When Kevin was young (like three years old) he would walk around with a little Ghostbusters outfit, including the little gun and goggles. He was also known for his Pee Wee Herman dance moves when he was little. So Matt came prepared and had Kevin perform the Pee Wee Herman dance moves - while wearing the Ghostbusters goggles - in front of all 130 of our guests! Matt had coordinated with our DJ and cued him to play the Pee Wee Herman song.

It was hilarious!!!

Wedding Photos: Part IV

So thankful for our veterans - past, present and future - for protecting our great country. All three of my grandfathers (which includes Kevin’s grandpa) have served this country, as well as two of my uncles. I don’t think there are words or actions enough to thank these people for their sacrifice.

I’m thankful for our worldly possessions. Right now I’m sitting in our garage keeping watch over the garage sale we’re having. The stuff we’re selling isn’t all that important to us now (obviously, since we’re selling it), but a lot of these people who have come up to browse and buy things find our stuff to be new and exciting. And they may not be able to afford brand new items, but our used items are just as nice in their eyes. It’s made me thankful for all that we have. A lot of what we have are not necessities by any means. But having this little sale has made me grateful and thankful for all that we do have.

My dad surprised me and arranged for my grandma Hank (the one in the wheelchair) to have a special nurse come to our wedding with her and a driver to take them three hours each way for our special day. I started bawling when I saw grandma Hank after the ceremony. It was the best surprise. Ever!
