What's Going on in this Head of Mine

~ I thought I'd take a little break with the bachelorette recaps. I just have Maygan's left to do, but hers will probably be a three-post event because there is a lot to cover.

~On Wednesday Kevin made my day by surprising me with this that morning! :)

~I am struggling with trying to stay positive about my job, who I work with and where we live. Like, really struggling.

~I'm done with Facebook. I've decided to only use it for a place to keep pictures from now on. I'm tired of people complaining about every. single. thing (i.e. politics, our high school reunion, parenting, etc.) and judgements going on everywhere. Whatever happened to being nice to one another??? So I won't be reading the FB stuff anymore.

~There was a girl on my floor here at work who is pregnant and when she first started to show I couldn't quite tell if she was pregnant or not and I didn't want to ask because I would've hated to offend her if she wasn't. So I just waited until I heard someone else say something. Does that ever happen to you? Where you don't quite know if you should say something, but if they are pregnant you don't want to be rude?

~I had a good hair day one out of the five days this week.

Rocking the side-pony!

~Tomorrow I'm heading down to San Luis Obispo for the day to attend my friend Emily's baby shower. This is her first child and they're not finding out the sex which sure makes it difficult to know what to buy! Ha! I'm one of those people who goes all out with the clothes when a baby shower comes around. So instead, I got her some stuff from her registry like teething toys, baby spoons, bowls and bathtub stuff. (She doesn't read the 'ol blog so we're good.)

~Kevin got the new video game "Gears of War 3" yesterday and played all night last night with his friends online. Headset included. He's a dork. ;)

~I'm going to try and blog about the Fall decor in our house this weekend. Here is where all the inspiration came from (Pinterest).

Alison's Bachelorette Fun!

About a month ago I attended my good friend Alison's bachelorette party. It was held at her family's cabin located at Pine Mountain Lake (PML). I love PML! When Alison and I were younger (like eight years ago younger) we'd go up there on weekends and have the best time. It is so, so relaxing and you leave there homesick to go back.

See what I mean? Beautiful and tranquil.

Anyways, back to the bachelorette festivities...

Alison, the Bride to Be!
Alison's oldest sister, Janette, was the hostess and she decided to do the theme of "Dirty Dancing." It was so cute! When we arrived she had these awesome t-shirts on our beds for us and had the "Dirty Dancing" CD for each of us. And by the way, that t-shirt was the most comfortable thing I've ever worn. I pretty much wore it all weekend.

Janette had placed "Dirty Dancing" pictures throughout the house and in place of Baby, she put in Alison's face and in place of Johnny, she put Alison's fiance's, Ken, face. It was too funny!

On Saturday we had a masseuse come to the cabin and we each got an hour massage. HEAVEN! During the day we just laid out on the dock and got our tan on.

The dock we laid out on all day - every day!

Janette had cooked us such good meals. It honestly was one of the best relaxing weekends I had had in a while.

Oh, and Janette was seven months preggo this weekend!

Pizza on the grill

Mmmmm!!!

Alison's other sister, Lisa, bedazzled this cute swimsuit cover up for Alison. It says "Bride."

Lisa also put together this cute sun-hat-veil! We all died when we saw it! So. Cute!

Sassy
Saturday night we had a "Dirty Dancing" trivia and I won. Ha! I've only watched it 1387351 times.

There were only a handful of us girls there, but it was just the right people and just the right amount because it was an amazing weekend!

I...had...the time of my life... (haha! get it?!)

My Bachelorette Weekend Recap - Part Two

For Part One, go here!

Saturday morning (I may or may not have woken up a tad hungover), we all got gussied up and loaded up into the limo to partake in some wine tasting!!!

The weather was absolutely perfect on this day - I couldn't have planned it better myself!

Beautiful, isn't it?

We drank.

A. Lot!

We became good friends with this guy. I can't remember his name but he's a sommelier. He was fun.

We had our own private room at this winery!

I couldn't get over how amazing the view was!

Alana's in school to become an interior designer and she was obsessed with this door! Ha!

I think this weekend was much-needed for everyone. :)

After all the wine tasting, we headed back to the house and relaxed on this patio outside since the weather was so nice.

That night we had a great dinner and then the rest is kind of blurry and I don't have many pictures because I was too busy drinking having fun. ;)

It was definitely a weekend to remember with a great group of friends. And a HUGE thank you to Maygan for being the best hostess and friend a girl could ask for!

The end.
