Weekend Wrap Up

Friday:  I was able to take off work early, and when I got home Kevin and I went to Best Buy and he purchased a 50” Panasonic Flat Screen. To be honest, I think the TV we have now works, and looks just fine. But, it is Kevin’s money, and I’m not going to deny that the new TV looks awesome! After the big purchase, we went and had dinner at El Toritos, and it was delicious!

Saturday:  I kept debating on going to the gym that morning, and I eventually did end up going and I felt so good afterwards. So I’m definitely glad that we went. Once we got home, I made breakfast, then proceeded to scour our bathroom, scour the kitchen, sweep and mop the floors in the whole house, and started on laundry. I’m glad I got it all done that day because I was able to relax the rest of the weekend. That night Kevin took me out to sushi (which was also delicious) and then we stopped by this new yogurt shop that just opened up down the street – which also happens to be right next door to our sushi restaurant. The yogurt shop is called “Tutti Frutti” and it’s pretty cute. I LOVE fro-yo so I have a feeling I’ll be stopping by there a lot! :)

Sunday:  We went to Waffle House and had a great breakfast. Although, the service there leaves a lot to be desired. What can I expect though when two big breakfasts come to a total of only $20, right? After that, I pretty much did nothing else for the rest of the day since I got everything done on Saturday. That always drives me crazy because I don’t know how to relax, or what to do with myself when I actually have down time. I did finish the laundry and I helped Kevin clean up the backyard since it was finally not raining for once.

Other than that, it was a fairly quiet and relaxing weekend. We sure did eat out a lot this weekend and that’s unusual for us. We will usually just eat out once a week, but we were pretty tired and didn’t feel like doing a lot of cooking; and we had fairly healthy meals when we did go out, so it wasn’t too bad.

Tomorrow I have a dentist appointment which I am not looking forward to! I never had a phobia of the dentist as a child or anything, but now when every six months rolls around and I have to go in for a cleaning, I dread it more and more each time! My jaw gets locked when my mouth has been open for a while during the cleanings, so that’s always painful. But it’s just unpleasant and I am beginning to hate it the older I get. Go figure!

Here’s a little photo of my baby girl, Kahlua. She loves clean, hot laundry. She was a tired little pup this weekend!
