Maygan’s Bachelorette Bash: Part 2

For Part 1, go here!

So for Maygan’s weekend, we rented a huge house in Long Beach. The kitchen was my favorite part. It had a touch-screen microwave! I was impressed.

Friday night we played games and opened gifts. I forgot to get a picture of everyone that night but here are a few from the evening.

Maygan is going to kill me for posting these photos of her taking the shot I gave her. Ha!

She got some great gifts. I’m not posting all of them because they’re a little “personal” if you know what I mean. Winking smile

Saturday morning I burnt my bagel. Sad smile

I guess I didn’t have much luck in the kitchen that weekend, what with my pizza in the drawer and black bagel.

That afternoon a few of us went to lunch at BJ’s.

And for the evening festivities the rest of the guests arrived at the house and we had cocktails and appetizers before we headed out to Sgt. Pepper’s Dueling Pianos.

Here are some of the recipes I made (all from Pinterest, thankyouverymuch!). The links will take you to the website/recipe.

Cosmopolitan Jell-o Shots

Let me tell you – these were strong! They definitely did the trick. I also cut out the Jell-o in the shape of a male anatomy part, but I’ll save you the visual and instead post this pleasant picture of the square Jell-o shot. Haha!

Soon we were on our way to Sgt. Pepper’s!

We all had such an amazing time together: singing, dancing, drinking, laughing. It's definitely a weekend we will all remember.

Congratulations Maygan!!!

Maygan’s Bachelorette Bash: Part 1

Seeing as I am Maygan’s Matron of Honor, it was only fitting that I throw her a bachelorette party. This post will be mostly about all the details with links.

I’ll tell you right now, Pinterest was a huge help in gathering ideas for the weekend celebration. Here are some of the ideas I was able to Pin beforehand.

Picnik collage

Maygan’s wedding colors are pink and black. So I went with a zebra and pink theme. I based the patterns and colors off of the invitation.

From there, Etsy became my best friend…

Given that I just got married about a month prior to this particular weekend, I wanted to put to use some of the great things we got as wedding gifts!

I thought it would be fun to have some candy necklaces, so I borrowed one of Mom’s jewelry stands and hung the necklaces from it. They were are hit!

For dinner Friday evening we had a pizza bar! I got the idea to do this from Katie at It’s in the Details. Thanks Katie! Smile

IMG_1902IMG_1904IMG_1905IMG_1906IMG_1907IMG_1910IMG_1911Maygan may or may not have accidentally flipped my nice, warm pizza into the kitchen drawer. Ha!

And here are the ideas I got from Pinterest and used for the weekend!

I got some pattern duct tape from Michael’s and just wrapped it around the water bottles. It didn’t take long and the tape didn’t peel off at all after sitting in ice/water for a long time. A pretty cheap way to to add a little color to something simple!

Now these weren’t quite as easy to make. I guess you could call them Lip-Sticks. Haha! Get it? Okay, so first I printed out two different clipart pictures of lips off the Internet. Then I traced pink glitter scrapbook paper, cut out the lips and used thick foam tape and attached them to a dowel. The girls absolutely LOVED these! We even took them out with us the next night!

Also an idea from Pinterest, I made these little wine bottle corsets with scrapbook paper and pink ribbon. They were super easy to make and went along with the lingerie/zebra/pink theme perfectly.

So those are the details of the weekend. I’ll get to the fun stuff tomorrow. Winking smile
