Weekend Wrap Up

Friday:  I was able to take off work early, and when I got home Kevin and I went to Best Buy and he purchased a 50” Panasonic Flat Screen. To be honest, I think the TV we have now works, and looks just fine. But, it is Kevin’s money, and I’m not going to deny that the new TV looks awesome! After the big purchase, we went and had dinner at El Toritos, and it was delicious!

Saturday:  I kept debating on going to the gym that morning, and I eventually did end up going and I felt so good afterwards. So I’m definitely glad that we went. Once we got home, I made breakfast, then proceeded to scour our bathroom, scour the kitchen, sweep and mop the floors in the whole house, and started on laundry. I’m glad I got it all done that day because I was able to relax the rest of the weekend. That night Kevin took me out to sushi (which was also delicious) and then we stopped by this new yogurt shop that just opened up down the street – which also happens to be right next door to our sushi restaurant. The yogurt shop is called “Tutti Frutti” and it’s pretty cute. I LOVE fro-yo so I have a feeling I’ll be stopping by there a lot! :)

Sunday:  We went to Waffle House and had a great breakfast. Although, the service there leaves a lot to be desired. What can I expect though when two big breakfasts come to a total of only $20, right? After that, I pretty much did nothing else for the rest of the day since I got everything done on Saturday. That always drives me crazy because I don’t know how to relax, or what to do with myself when I actually have down time. I did finish the laundry and I helped Kevin clean up the backyard since it was finally not raining for once.

Other than that, it was a fairly quiet and relaxing weekend. We sure did eat out a lot this weekend and that’s unusual for us. We will usually just eat out once a week, but we were pretty tired and didn’t feel like doing a lot of cooking; and we had fairly healthy meals when we did go out, so it wasn’t too bad.

Tomorrow I have a dentist appointment which I am not looking forward to! I never had a phobia of the dentist as a child or anything, but now when every six months rolls around and I have to go in for a cleaning, I dread it more and more each time! My jaw gets locked when my mouth has been open for a while during the cleanings, so that’s always painful. But it’s just unpleasant and I am beginning to hate it the older I get. Go figure!

Here’s a little photo of my baby girl, Kahlua. She loves clean, hot laundry. She was a tired little pup this weekend!

LISTS!!!

Last night I attempted to clean up our office. Big mistake! I realized that I have a propensity to keep tons of lists. All the time. For everything. I keep lists on post-its - that I can find in every nook-and-cranny. I keep lists on my phone. I keep lists at work, and then take those lists home to look at them later.

I just get these ideas, or I'll think about something, and I'll have to write it down right away because I'm afraid I'll forget it. But then I never go back to that list ever again. They just end up accumulating. I think I should just stick to a master list, and then sub-categorize it into things like "chores," "wishes," "ideas," etc. Who knows. Now I'm starting to sound neurotic.

These lists range from ideas about a future daycare I'd like to start (that's my ideal dream-job), to a grocery list, to clothing items I wish I had but could never afford, to-do lists about bathrooms that need cleaning, laundry that needs washing, a dog that stinks and needs a bath. The list just goes on and on! And there you have it! I've now resulted to making a list about my lists! Ahhh!

Never

I have never been outside of the U.S. I always envy people that travel. During college it was something that I could never afford to do, and I also wanted to graduate as soon as I could. Now, it feels like I’m too late to do any traveling because I have to work full time just to pay the bills, let alone save any money to go somewhere. Kevin says that for our honeymoon (ya….we’re not even engaged yet buddy!) he’d like to go to New Zealand. I think that’d be totally awesome! But I’ll believe it when I see the ring. ;)

I will never go surfing. I’m sorry, but the ocean scares me enough as it is. I’m not a fan of knowing that there are all kinds of known, and unknown creatures in the water. If I go in too far I kind of have a mini panic attack, thinking that jelly fish are going to charge me at any moment and sting me to death. Or that sharks are out to get me. Yes, it’s completely absurd, but you won’t be seeing this lady attempting to surf any time soon!

I never want to move too far away from my family. I’m extremely close with my parents, especially my mom, and I couldn’t imagine not being able to see them at least once a month. I’m sure that if we had to move for some job relocation or something, that I’d be able to cope, but that’s not something I’d ever hope for. I consider myself lucky to be close to my family, and I’m sure it’s hard for people (especially those with kids) to not be at least driving distance away from their family if they’re close with them.

I have never been a part of the Mile High Club – and I seriously doubt I will ever become a member. Sorry, but I’m not big on the whole ‘sex-in-random-places’ thing. And, I have a hard enough time not barfing on a plane just sitting in my seat, let alone trying to get busy in some small bathroom. Ick!

I have never babysat a baby. I’m talking like between the age of newborn to one year. I SOOOO want to though. I love, love, love me some babies! However, I don’t really have any friends close enough to do any babysitting for, and most of them only have the one child and they’re probably not too keen on being away from them for long periods of time. I bet when baby number two comes along they’d be happy to turn him/her over to me though! So *sigh* I’ll just have to wait to have my own I guess…God knows how long that will be!

I will never know what it’s like to have a sister. I just have my little bro. I always wanted my parents to have another kid so they could provide me with another sibling, but they’re far beyond that at this point ;) The closest I’ve come to a sister is growing up with Michelle Granberg (now Cline) and her sisters Alicia and Kim. Michelle’s mom used to watch me when we were growing up, so I’d spend tons of time with those three girls. I always envy girls who have sisters. I sometimes feel like I miss out on that type of connection.

I never want to go grocery shopping! This is something that I repeatedly don’t want to do, although I will still do it. There’s just something about the searching of food that bores me so. And every time I try to be really good and only buy items on sale, I always feel like a failure when I walk out of there after spending over $100 and barely have anything to show for it. Therefore, Kevin usually does the grocery shopping. I hate setting foot into a grocery store. I hate standing in line and I hate spending the money on food. Kind of impractical, but I’m better off just staying away.

I will never be a good cook. I can whip up a mean breakfast on any weekend, and I’m a decent baker (if I do say so myself), but every time I attempt to make a nice, wholesome dinner, I screw it up. Kevin tries to make me feel better and say it’s “good” but I know what he’s really saying “Man…I should’ve made dinner tonight.” And after every meal I cook, I never want to eat it. I just have no appetite to consume said meal, and it just tastes gross to me. *light bulb!* This may be a great way to lose weight! LOL!

I will never have small boobs. As you can tell from my previous Top 10 blog, I have a complex about my girls.

I have never celebrated Valentine’s Day on the actual day, since my senior year of high school. After high school there was a period there where I was single for about three years, and I was the typical single-bitter-lonely type on Valentine’s Day, so I’d completely boycott it. Then when Kevin and I were together during college, we’d always have to celebrate it like a day or two before because he’d always have to bartend on V-Day. And now, it’s like we’re an old married couple and it’s just like any other day. Boo! It’d be nice to celebrate that holiday one of these years!

I have never written a short blog. So on that note, I think I’ll end here!

Quicky

I've come to realize that my blogs are all incredibly long. So I apologize for that. I guess I feel the need to really elaborate a lot of the time. Gah! So, I'll try to keep them short and sweet - but I can't make any promises ;)

Weekend Wrap Up

This past Friday felt like the day lasted FOREVER! I literally spent eight hours at work just filing. That's it! That must be why it felt like the day dragged on forever. It was so nice to go to sushi with Kevin afterwards. He wanted us to go out with some friends after dinner but I was just too tired. Usually, on Fridays, after nine hours of work, and two hours of commuting, I am too drained to try and get pretty and be social and go out and drink. So of course I had to be the party-pooper once again and say no. Oh well.

On Saturday I got a ton of stuff done. I finally (after four years!) got my dog registered with Contra Costa County. I know...I'm such a bad dog owner. Haha! But that's over and done with. We really have to get her in to get another round of her shots, but it's just so darn expensive! I feel like if I know what shots she needs, I should be able to find one of those little vet clinics around here and get them done for half the price. So I definitely have to look into that because she shouldn't go much longer without them.

After that little task, I headed over to Kaiser to pick up my prescription (birth control). This is the first time I've used Kaiser because I just switched to them as of the new year. I called and they were able to get my prescription switched from CVS to them, without me having to do anything. I did that about a week and a half ago. So I show up Saturday afternoon, and I walk up to the counter and apparently they will only hold a prescription for seven days. So the lady tells me to sit and wait and they should have it ready for me in about 10 minutes. So 20 minutes go by and I get called up to the counter and apparently they're completely out of my prescription. REALLY?! It took them 20 minutes to figure that out!? Grrr! So then they say they'll call the Walnut Creek location and see if they have my prescription in stock. So I wait another 15 minutes for them to tell me that Walnut Creek doesn't have it either. I was sooo pissed! So this means the earliest I can get my pills is on Monday. Which means that's three days without taking a pill, and I have to start a whole new pack over again. Which mean I have to start my period this week, wait to take the pill until next Sunday, and be extra careful if Kevin and I want to get "romantic." LOL! Needless to say that girl at the pharmacy knew I was NOT happy. I almost started to cry! Who wants to start another period two weeks in a row!? Not only that, but my food cravings start to kick in full-force and my hormones just get completely crazy. Poor Kevin is going to have to deal with a bitch for another week.

So after that, I was in a rotten mood. I headed over to FedEx to fax some dog info to the County for Kahlua's license. And of course the two people in front of me acted like they've never even seen a fax in their entire life and spent 25 minutes trying to figure out how to use it. *sigh* Once it was finally my turn, I faxed my stuff with no problems (imagine that!) and then I headed over to Target to do a little shopping. I haven't shopped for clothes in probably two years! I've been on a pretty strict budget since I took a big pay cut when I moved to the Bay Area and started working for Wells Fargo. So I've had to keep the clothes shopping to a minimum. But I was in a desperate need for some long-sleeve shirts, a couple sweaters, and a couple pairs of skinny jeans. And I know it's Target, and it's not a "fashionable" place to shop, but it's what I can afford and I can usually find some cute things there, so it'll have to do. Thank goodness I had luck there, so that turned my mood around right away. From there I headed to Walnut Creek to hit up the Bare Minerals store so I could stock up on some concealer and eyebrow color, then headed to Safeway to get a few things for dinner that night. Once I got home Kevin made chicken tacos, salsa and margaritas. So the night ended well.

Today (Sunday) we met up with some friends at this restaurant/bar called Magoo's in Pleasant Hill to watch the games. It was a pretty nice bar, so Kevin and I decided that will be our new place to go for drinks. There aren't any places like that in Concord, and Magoo's has a good atmosphere. The group we hung out with was really fun too. So we had lunch there, some beers then headed home and finished watching the Saints game. Oh, and I'm super stoked the Saint's won BTW. And no, I'm not a Saints fan just because they're heading to the Super Bowl. I've been a Saints fan for a while now -- mostly because I think Reggie Bush is incredibly HOT! Real great reason to be a fan of a football team right?? LOL! ;) but anyways, I was glad they won. We still don't know what we're doing for the Super Bowl, so I think we'll just play that by ear. It sucks because since Super Bowl is on a Sunday, it's not like you can really get crazy and celebrate because you have to go to work the next day. It's definitely not like college, where you can party all day/night and wake up hungover and hobble to class the next day. Ugh!

So that was my weekend. Nothing too exciting. A major disappointment with the birth control situation, but a super success with shopping, hanging out with friends, eating good food and my football team winning the NFC Championship.

Resilience

This is kind of a random post, but I was thinking about it today on the train and thought I'd go ahead and write about it.

Last weekend I was talking to my dad about when I was young and it was determined that I was 70% deaf. My dad said one day we were in the kitchen and a car honked outside and I asked my dad "What was that daddy?" and it was then he realized that all along, I hadn't been able to hear the normal, day-to-day things. They took me to the doctor and realized I couldn't hear, and then I had to get tubes put in my ears (on multiple occasions). When I was talking to my dad about it recently, I realized that the reason I'm so very detail-oriented and why I am always acutely aware of things going on around me, is because when I was young, that took over since I was deaf. I also have a keen sense of smell. Haha! I could smell something from a mile away (okay, not really but you get the point). And, for the first few years of my life I would read lips when people talked to me, so to this day, at night I can mute the TV and still be able to get a gist of what people are saying.

So anyways, the point of this little story is that I am amazed at how resilient kids can be. I think a lot of it has to do with the parents' outlooks on a child's setback, illness, disease or what have you. I think when parents are able to take that set-back as just a part of life, and not portray to the child that it's a huge, serious debilitation, that it helps the child to move on and just be as happy-go-lucky as usual. I think my parents did a good job with this, because I can barely remember my procedures to get my hearing to 100%. I do remember right before the surgeries that I would have my Teddy Rupskin, but that's about it!

Another instance I can think of a child's resiliency is when my brother was diagnosed with ADHD at a very early age. My parents chose to not have him put on any medication, and eventually my brother and parents were able to deal with this in their own way. My parents had to adjust how they gave instructions to my brother, and my brother had to teach himself how to focus and pay attention. He'll be 25 this year and he is an incredibly focused, and determined individual. I think this has to do in part with my parents not treating my brother like ADHD was an inhibitor, but rather, how to deal with it and move on.

I have some friends who have a young son with Cystic Fibrosis (CF) and I'm amazed with (what appears to me) the ease they've been able to cope his disease. It seems to me that they've taken the situation, learned as much as they can about it (and continue to learn), raise as much awareness as they can about it, and have just plugged along to make his life as fulfilling as possible without letting CF hinder any part of it. Ben has to take a number of pills every day and go through his CPT (chest physical therapy) twice a day, and of course go to his various doctor appointments. But for all intents and purposes, he is a happy, well-cared for baby. I'm sure that Ben's parents have their moments when they may feel helpless, worried or unsure of what will happen next, but they still make sure that Ben has a normal life, just like every healthy child.

I'm not a parent yet, so I couldn't imagine the feeling of having a child who may be sick, or has an issue with development or some type of set-back. I'm sure there's a feeling of helplessness and "why me?" But I think that those parents who are able to show their kids that life goes on, it is what it is, how to deal with it and make the most of it, that the children come out in the end with so much more endurance in life, and a great spirit about things.

Side note: if you'd like to donate to Margaux and Ryan Hughes's CF Team to raise awareness about CF and to help find a cure for Ben, here's a great link you can follow to do that:

Top 10 Reasons Why I am Not a Fan of the "Twins"

So here goes my attempt at my Top 10 list. Don't forget to take it all with a grain of salt ;)

TOP 10 REASONS WHY I AM NOT A FAN OF THE "TWINS"

10. My boobs are only going to get larger once I'm pregnant. Definitely, NOT something I'm looking forward to. It's hard enough lugging them around as they are!

9. It's incredibly difficult to find bras in my size (which I will not be revealing)! I can either attempt to get one that's a tad too small to try and lift the girls up and provide them with a little support, hence leaving some unsightly back rolls to deal with and some pretty painful strap marks to endure. Or, I can go the responsible route and get the "right size" bra and be left with grandma-looking two-inch-wide straps, not to mention the torpedo-shaped boobs that are not only difficult to maneuver, but also hard to fit into any size top.

8. Large breasts are expensive! If I wanted to get a reduction, it's incredibly unaffordable, and rarely do insurance companies cover the procedure, unless it's a pretty extreme circumstance. Also, good, right-fitting bras don't come cheap!

7. Large Ta-Tas add on at least another 10 pounds, in my opinion. I always fantasize about having a small chest, and how much thinner I'd look, and how much less I'd probably have to work out ;)

6. These suckers are heavy! Imagine having two five-pound jugs strapped to your chest. Then attempt to run. Doesn't matter the distance or length of time, just run. Pretty soon those jugs will get sore and the skin on your chest feels like it's going to rip off. No matter the number of sports bras I strap on, there's no helping this painful, exercise experience.

5. One thing that's incredibly difficult is that I'm not able to wear cute tops without looking completely inappropriate. The tube tops don't stay up, the spaghetti straps offer no support whatsoever. And halter tops feel like I'm being pulled down on my neck by a leash. And don't even get me started on strapless bras!!!

4. Nothing in, what my supposed size should be, fits. Just a little FYI if anyone wants to get me a cute top or jacket. If I look like I'm a Small, get me a Large. If I look like I'm a Medium, an Extra Large will have to do. Having to go up a size (or two) allows the girls some breathing room, but then I'm stuck dealing with sleeves that are too long, or tops that hang far too low. *sigh*

3. Flat-chested women, and straight men tend to unknowingly stare with a sense of longing.

2. I tend to stare at flat-chested women with a sense of longing.

1. They fit nicely under my armpits, as I lay bra-less, on my back, in bed, getting ready for a nice night of sleep. ;)

So there you have it. I'm sure those that wish they had big boobs, are telling me to "shut up" and those that can relate, may be nodding in agreement. In either case, I thought I'd have a little fun at the expense of my "girls."

Pops is 55!

Tonight I'm headed off to good 'ol Salinas to help celebrate my Dad's 55th birthday this weekend. Not too excited about the Salinas part, but I'm looking forward to spending time with the fam damily ;)

I can't even fathom that my dad is 55 - he still seems like he's in his 30's to me. It could also be that the older I get, the more I refuse to believe that the 40's and 50's are "old."

When I was young I was definitely a daddy's girl. There is this really old home video of me when I was probably two years old, and I would constantly say to the camera "Don't look at me my daddy say!" Don't ask me where I came up with that, but I have a feeling my dad told me to say that to people that stared at me or something. Who knows!? But he was the one person in my life who taught me to stick up for myself and to be "tough."

Throughout highschool, Pops and I weren't on the best of terms - which probably a lot of girls can relate to. But once I started college and even now, I turn to him for a lot of advice about work, life, appliances, cars, etc. (lol). And let me tell you, he LOVES to give advice. Especially after he's thrown back a few shots of Jack Daniels ;). That could lead to an hour-long advice-giving session! Whew! But really, I take everything he tells me to heart, and his sound advice has taken me a long way and helped me make good decisions throughout my life.

My dad is the strongest person I know - emotionally, mentally and physically, and I'm proud that I've learned from him how to be a strong, self-reliant woman. He's always tried to instill in me to not take crap from anyone (mostly boys) and I feel lucky for that because not a lot of girls may have that in their life. My dad is also very caring. He may pick on my mom sometimes to push her buttons, but I know he adores her and he knows he would be lost without her.

I only hope that my future hubby will be as good of a husband as my dad is to my mom, and as good of a father as my dad is to my brother and me.

Happy birthday dad!

Love,
Bug

Weighing in on the New Year

With the new year, come new resolutions - which typically involve the usual losing weight, working out, saving money, etc. I'd like to address the losing weight/diet portion of these mass resolutions.

First, I love the start of a new year. I always feel refreshed (after I've recovered from my hangover from NYE, of course) when the new year rolls around. It's like breathing in all kinds of the unknown - which are hopefully good. For me, it's like a present that you receive, having no clue what's inside, or in store for you. So with that said, one of my New Years Resolutions is to lose 25 pounds this year. And this is where my blog will take off, so prepare for a long one...

I find it so amusing that when someone mentions they want to lose weight, go on a diet, eat a certain number of calories a day, or what-have-you, there are always those people who like to put in their two cents and let you know that you're crazy if you feel the need to do that, or you need to do it a different way, or you're not doing it right at all.

I've been thinking about this a lot lately, and mostly because I posted a comment on FB about eating healthy and there was a large number of opinions, advice and recommendations. I know people are just trying to be helpful and supportive and it's all appreciated, but to me I think it's amazing how some are so devout in the way they think someone else should get healthy and/or lose weight. For example, a friend of mine posted a couple months ago that she's finding it hard to stay within a daily 1,000 calorie diet. I'm no nutritionist or health guru, so I honestly can't say if this is healthy or not based on my friend's height, weight and how much she exercises. But I was blown away by the rash of people that responded to her post with some pretty harsh opinions. There were a number of people that threw in the statistics, and others that berated her for even thinking about it - as if she was starving herself! What a way to feel support and motivation from your peers right??? Geesh!

In my opinion, I think if someone wants to get healthy, go on a diet and lose some weight, they should do whatever works for them - as long as it's safe. Some people may prefer to use diet pills. I say go for it if that's effective and safe. Some people may prefer no carbs...whatever floats your boat! Others might go for a low-cal diet, some may choose a liquid only diet, and there's those that would rather eat what they want and in turn, spend hours at the gym. My feeling is "get on with your bad self!" ;) LOL

For me personally, a low calorie diet and regular exercise works best. Based on my height and current weight, I'm already considered "overweight," and I can definitely feel it! So my 25 pound goal will put me in a nice, healthy, middle range for my body type. I feel most comfortable trying to stay within a 1,200 daily calorie intake to lose the weight I want. I'm able to pretty much eat foods that are healthy and still keep my hunger satisfied, and I'm usually able to leave enough calories left over for a treat at the end of the day. Granted, the foods I choose to eat may not be that appetizing to other people. For example, I find that chili is a good source of protein and pretty filling, and not too high in calories for me. Canned chicken meat made into a chicken salad and eaten with crackers is also a great lunch for me. I usually eat a decent breakfast, a really tiny lunch and then a big dinner (I'm not much of a lunch person).

As most people have done, I've tried a lot of other diet programs. Weight Watchers didn't do it for me. I had a hard time with the point system and the set recipes for meals. Nutrisystem was something new, the food wasn't too bad, but I thought it was too expensive and I'd often feel like eating something different then what was packaged for me. And diet pills....eek! Those are not my friends. They pretty much all contain caffeine, and when I have a lot of caffeine it brings on migraines (no good). Not to mention how upset they make my stomach. Ack! So for me, I know to stay away from those. But some people are able to handle those - which makes me kind of jealous ;)

As I read other friends' successes and difficulties with their progress to get healthy, it does motivate me that I can do it too. In fact, I know I can do it! About two years ago Kevin and I broke up. I was devastated of course, and decided to join a gym and get really into shape to make him regret ever breaking up with me in the first place. Haha! I'll show him! Well, low-and-behold I ended up getting THE HOTTEST trainer! So he was also a great motivational tool for me too. I didn't want him seeing my flab jiggle and me sweating uncontrollably! So with a continuous workout schedule, a low-cal diet and a hot trainer, I lost about 15 pounds in three months. I had never felt better! I was so proud of myself and I felt so good and confident. Kevin and I did end up getting back together and things are going great now - so I guess my planned worked after all. ;) Not quite though, because as soon as we reunited I started slowly putting the LBS back on and not working out as much. So I'm back to square one again.

This time around I'd like to do this for myself, and not someone else. I feel like this is the last time I'm going to go through this, and I'm determined to make it part of my lifestyle. Girls who get engaged usually have this goal of wanting to lose a bunch of weight before their wedding. I always wonder why they would want to add that much more stress on to their big day? So I figure I'll just lose the weight I want before I ever get engaged - that way I'll already have that pressure over and done with! Plus, I'd like to be fit by the time I have kids so it's not so hard for me to get my pre-pregnancy figure back, but I think I'm getting ahead of myself with the kiddo talk (can you tell that I like to plan ahead?).

Basically, when I hear someone say what their weight-loss goals are going to be, I try to be more agreeable with their plans than judgemental. I won't tell them what they should eat, just because I eat it. And I won't tell them how much or how little to work out just because it works for me. And if I think the person already looks good the way they are, I'm not going to make them feel like they're psycho for wanting to better themselves. If my friend Breanna said that she wanted to start an intense workout routine, some people might look at her like she was nuts because she's a tiny little thing. But she may have her own reasons for doing so that she doesn't have to defend to anyone else.

So, I'm done with weighing in, for now. I started my health plan on Monday, January 11th, and as of today I've lost two pounds! I'm pretty stoked about that. I haven't done any exercising yet because I've been pretty sick recently, and I'm trying to kick this stupid cough. But I'm hoping to get into the gym on Monday and I'm excited to see my results once I add that portion in.

Good luck with your diets, weight loss, marathons, and any other healthy goals you may have for 2010 and beyond!

Blogging Virgin

Well, I've decided to join, all that is the rage of BLOGGING! As you can see I haven't a clue as how to begin designing this thing, but I'm sure I'll figure it out sooner, rather than later.

Recently I've been feeling the need to keep a journal. Of course, I started the various diaries when I was younger. You know, the little plastic things that had the little ballerinas or pony designs on the front, and the "secure" little lock-and-key that went along with it? I actually found a couple of them as my parents were cleaning out their garage recently and they were pretty entertaining. It's amazing to look back and read about things that I thought were so "important" and "devastating" at that time in my life. Of course now, those "important" and "devastating" occurrences are pretty laughable. Either way, I figure a blog is pretty close to a journal, and others can join in on the non-exciting life that is Kaysie. ;)

As for my blog title "Chasers of Kaysers"... It has nothing to do with the various stalkers in my life (of which there are none - thank goodness!). But rather, I tried to think of something creative, that involved something about me, and blogging. Hence the title above! I figure 'chasers' could also be thought of as 'followers'? Maybe not ... but just nod your head and smile in agreement anyways...

Enough about my own blog. I will admit that I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE to read others' blogs. I don't know what it is, but there's something about other peoples' lives and events that intrigue me. Am I sounding like a stalker now??? But really, there are certain things that friends will blog about that may get me thinking about something I haven't thought of before, or blog topics that I feel will prepare me for something that could happen to me down the road. In either case, I'm thoroughly entertained by all blogs.

So....if you think you'll feel as entertained by mine, well I invite you to follow me and see where this thing leads.
