Each night as I'm getting ready for bed and getting ready for the next work day I have in mind what I'd like to do. What time I'd ideally like to get up, what I want to get accomplished before I head off to work, what I want to get done during the day while I'm at work, and what I'd like to get completed once I get home from work. BUT....
This NEVER happens! And it drives me crazy. Certain things come up that don't allow me to get to bed at an early time, which in turns makes me not want to get up early enough and the whole day doesn't turn out like I want it to. I know that essentially I have no control over this, and ultimately He does, but still.
So here's my ideal weekday:
1) Wake up at 5am.
2) Do a morning devotional so I can just have some quiet time between myself and God, and just reflect on things.
3) Leave for the gym at 5:30am and work out for 45 minutes.
4) Get ready for work and be at work by 8:30.
5) Get ALL my filing done at work, and start on new projects.
6) Leave work by 5:30, get home at 6:30 and take Kahlua for a walk.
7) Eat dinner at 7:00 and spend some time with Kevin.
8) Either write a blog post, do some homework, work on a crafty project, or get caught up on housework.
9) Start getting ready for bed and the next day around 9:00.
10) Be in bed, with the lights off, at 10pm.
Is that so much to ask??? Well, I guess it is because it never happens. I usually don't get to bed until 11, which means I don't roll out of bed until 7:00, I don't get to work until 9:00, I don't leave work until 6:00 and don't get back home until 7:00 that night, which doesn't leave time to walk the dog, spend time with Kevin, do homework, housework, etc. It's pretty much a vicious cycle. Each Sunday comes around and I tell myself "Okay, you're going to do it this week, Kaysie." And Monday morning comes and again I don't get out of bed in time. Haha!
So I need to figure out a way to get on track with this because I think it will help with having some nice quiet time to myself in the morning and just start my day off the right way and make for less stress by not having enough time to do everything. Suggestions are welcome :)
