I'm having hair issues. Almost a year ago I chopped about eight inches off my hair and had an a-line cut. I liked it for about two months, and then missed my long locks terribly after that :( *tear* It always seems to happen like that for me. I'll spend a good two years growing my hair out, then I'll get a wild hair (no pun intended ;)) and chop it all off and then miss it.
So, I'm trying to grow my hair out again and it's at a horrible stage. I try to make it straight and it flips out, or I'll try to make it flip out, and it just looks pasted to my head. I'm pretty much hating it at the moment. Plus, I usually always have side-swept bangs. Mostly because I have a big forehead, but also because I think it frames my face. Well those bangs have grown out and pretty much disappeared.
This is what my favorite hairstyle used to look like:

Side-swept bangs, lots of layers, thinned out, and some poofiness. Oh, and the reason my bangs are a different direction in each picture above is because I took the first one using Kevin's Mac and it flips the pictures. Ha!
Here's what my hair looks like today:

Ack! As you can see, it's so boring and blah. Plus, my face is pudgy because I've gained about 10 pounds since the previous two pictures were taken about two years ago. My word! Those before and after picks are sad!!! I digress...
...so the point of all this is that I'm debating on whether I should continue to grow it out in all it's ugliness and wait until it gets a little longer until I drive all the way down to San Luis Obispo (which is about a 3 1/2 hour drive) to see my AWESOME hair dresser, Stefani, so she can work her magic. Or...do I bite the bullet and have someone around here try to trim it and thin it out? I don't know. Anyone around the Bay Area charges at least more than $50 and I always HATE the way it looks afterwards so it feels like my money was wasted. However, when I drive to SLO, it'll only cost between $30-$40 for the cut, and of course some gas money. So either way I'm not really saving any money in this matter; but I am getting the satisfaction of getting a great cut from Stefani.
So after having this little discussion with myself while all of bloggy world listens in ;), I think I'm going to have to find a weekend (SOON) to make a trip down to SLO and have Stefani do her thang! Hopefully her mad cutting skills will make my face look thinner too! ;) Ha!!
